Gas Diffusion Electrode X-Ray diffraction electrochemical flow cell setup
002RDX
- Feature overview
This is a horizontally mounted, multi-purpose electrochemical cell for Gas Diffusion Electrode (GDE), designed to be used with X-Ray Diffractometry.
The cell consists of two individual compartments: the liquid flow chamber and the gas chamber, which are placed on opposing faces of a GDE. Both compartments are held in place by magnetic/screw mount, providing a leakage-free O-Ring seal.
The liquid chamber can be filled with an electrolyte using a syringe or an electrolyte can continuously flow through it using an external reservoir and peristaltic pump (reservoir and pump not included).
The dry chamber is gas-tight enabling continuous flow of a gas carrier and evacuation of the gas products for sampling using standard analytical instruments such as a residual gas analyzer. Both compartments are made of a polyether ether ketone (PEEK) material. The cell is meant to be used with standard reference electrode having 6 mm in diameter and counter electrode in the form of a rod/helix with 6 mm in diameter and 15 mm active.
