The Autolab Microcell HC system is the ideal solution for fast and reliable temperature-controlled experiments. Consisting of a temperature controller and a cell stage with Peltier element, the Autolab Microcell HC is designed to accomodate a large choice of specially designed electrochemical cells.

The temperature controller itself is integrated in the NOVA software, allowing manual and remote control of the sample temperature. This combination allows you to perform electrochemical measurements, using all the available electrochemical techniques, in order to determine relevant parameters like impedance and conductivity in a wide range of temperature.

The Autolab Microcell HC is designed in collaboration with RHD Instruments GmbH & Co. KG. The electrochemical cells designed for the Autolab Microcell HC system fit all experimental requirements. For volatile and non-volatile samples, small or large volumes, batteries, surfaces and gel-like samples. For extreme low temperatures, down to -40 °C, a cooling box is also available.

The TSC Battery is a closed measuring cell intended for assembling half or full battery or supercap cells with e.g. active materials and separators. It is also suitable for investigating solid or gel-like samples in contact with metal electrodes in a plate/plate geometry.You have flexibility with cell configuration either two and three electrode measurements can be performed by inserting a microreference electrode from the side.The standard variant contains flat metal electrodes. For current collectors designed for using elemental lithium as electrode material please refer to the extended variant."This cell is airtight and thus shielded against atmosphere and can be used with moisture-sensitive samples.

The TSC Surface is a closed cell designed for electrochemical measurements on flat samples and can be used to study the electrochemical interface between a well defined working electrode and solution and the kinetics of electron transfer reactions. This cell, like all other cells is suitable for measurements with ionic liquids, but it can also be used with aqueous and organic solvents and for corrosion measurements.

The TSC Sw Open is an open measuring cell intended for investigating solid or gel-like sample in contact with metal electrodes.  The cell has a ball-and-socket joint contact and is therefore usable with slightly non-parallel solid samples.  Since the cell is open to atmosphere, only non-volatile, non-air- or moisture-sensitive samples can be readily measured.

An open measuring cell intended for investigating liquid electrolytes.This measuring cell has a 1.6 mL platinum crucible as sample container. For smaller sample volume, please use the TSC 70 Open cell.This cell can be used to perform conductivity measurements on ionic liquids, determine the stability window of these electrolytes or determine the HOMO-LUMO gap of OLED dyes in organic solvents.Since the cell is open to atmosphere, only non-volatile, non-air- or moisture-sensitive samples can be readily measured.Cell Materials in contact with sample:  Platinum
