The combustion of fossil fuels for the production of energy pollutes the environment with large quantities of pollutants in the form of gases or aerosols. The Particle Into Liquid Sampler, or PILS for short, can convert aerosol particles from an air flow into the aqueous phase. This can then be analyzed afterwards using ion chromatography
or voltammetry. The 920 Absorber Module or a MARGA system is recommended for the analysis of the gaseous phase. The present brochure describes the benefits of these kinds of systems.
